Review on πŸ–±οΈ Logitech MX Anywhere 2 Wireless Mobile Mouse: Long Range, Hyper Scroll, Easy-Switch - Stone by Jere Mosley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A major improvement over the first generation MX Anywhere

I really like this mouse. Replaces my previous Anywhere MX mouse which I also really liked. This mouse is lighter than the original Anywhere MX (mainly because it no longer requires two heavy AA batteries) and can be fired via USB or Bluetooth. Bluetooth is important if you have a new laptop that doesn't have larger USB ports. You can't remove the batteries - like the larger MX Master - you have to plug them in to charge. For frequent travelers who don't always have spare batteries in their bag (or who don't like the idea of carrying around extra batteries), simply plugging in a mouse with a lightweight/portable charging cable seems like an improvement. Just like MX Master, you can install and save up to 3 different Bluetooth devices or unified drivers. Handy if you have a tablet and laptop or other setup where you can use the mouse on multiple devices. A slight downside compared to the first-gen Anywhere MX is that the power button isn't as easy to toggle. On the older model, it was a large switch that you could quickly press with your thumb without looking. The switch in the new version is tiny, much more difficult to turn on and off - if you do it often. [Update April 26, 2017] Added some photos comparing new to old. The newer one is stone white, the old one is black.
