I bought this product to make a star ceiling in my car and it was quite successful. I see a lot of reviews saying it's flammable and unreliable, but I've used it in my car with an AC adapter, turned it on and off repeatedly, the colors/modes kept changing and responding every time I drove, on the remote control. So you have to take into account that I was in a hot car every day and worked at least 2 hours a day (my commute was 1 hour there and 1 hour back). It's been in use for 4 months, my machine is disassembled and the machine still works! Loss of fiber during the accident but I'm glad my purchase still turns on and off and the remote works great. A solid buy for the money, now I use it for a shimmering backlit screen.
