Review on πŸŒ™ White Noise Machine with Night Light, Funlicht Sound Machine for Babies, Kids, and Adults - 12 Soothing Sounds, Dimmable Light Clock Alarm for Better Sleep by Lisa Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice to have once you learn how to use it

Pondering how to rate this clock/sound machine I finally decided it deserved a rating of 4 which of course it does the case is the default is 4 stars. It's nice to have on hand once you figure out how to use it and work around its quirks. First, it only reads military time. So from 0:01 to 24:00. This means that 13:30 is read as 13:30. Even if you can't read in wartime and never have, it's easy enough to learn, although it takes some practice if you finish after one o'clock in the afternoon. That's when I started doing math. Over time, through practice, I will learn how this compares to AM/PM. I've used it in the past to book airlines at work, I'm familiar with it but not in practice. I actually like the idea of relearning it so much that I can drop out of my math class. The noises are ok. Birds are my favorite. Some of the white noise ones are pretty cheesy and not as enjoyable as I would like. They are all just low quality sounds. You will find the ones you prefer and do it for you. I'm still trying to get comfortable with programming. You know, trying to remember which buttons do what, how long to hold them down, and for which controls. Another problem I have is that the buttons aren't as responsive as I need them to be. I often have to play around with them a little to get them to participate. Not the best device. However, it works and has its uses. Oh, remember it needs to be plugged into a USB outlet. Does not plug into a regular outlet and must be left on at all times for operation. This can be a problem if you don't have the right connectors handy. The package does not include a USB charger, so you need to buy one yourself. It's nice to have one device that can work as a clock, night light, and sound machine all in one. The best advice I can give you is to experiment with this thing to see how it works. You don't do any harm. This will be your learning curve. You'll also need to be able to read wartime, but that's easy to learn once you start.
