is nonsense! don't let the price fool you. It is no different from other cheaper fakes. It is NOT recognized by the iPhone 5, so charging is not possible and the connection is so bad that the connection drops frequently during syncing. This is by far the worst fake I've bought (mainly because of the cost). I bought it because I was looking for a cable that I can leave in my car and that Belkin fits into my interior. I've had good luck with other Belkin products and was willing to spend the extra money for something that will last. I had no problems for the first few days. The first error message was a notification that Apple does not recognize this cable, so charging is not possible. This was a big deal breaker because it was my car cable, but I routed it into my computer anyway. After about 1 week the connection became loose and unsuitable. The phone will ring on and off while syncing. I am very careful with my electronics and do not attribute any malfunctions to operating errors. Having purchased numerous fake cables for my iPhones over the years, I have given up and will not buy anything other than an overpriced Apple branded cable. It's killing me, but I have to say I've never had a bad date. Belkins never again.
