The first version was better as the rake actually lifted the droppings up and into the holding compartment. This one just gets the job done. However, after trying and returning Litter Robot, I went back to ScoopFree. Having mistakes is the lesser evil to achieve your goal. I appreciate the comparative ease of handling the droppings of two house cats. (I have two boxes). The cost of the trays is obscenely overpriced in my opinion. In the near future, they could become unaffordable for this retired cat owner.
