Works great with 3.3V ESP8266
Both receiver and transmitter worked fine with my ESP8266 3.3 NodeMCU board Q. I just connect the VCC, GND and DATA pins directly to the ESP 3.3V, GND and D5 pins (in my case). Uses the IRRemoteESP8266 library. The transmitter isn't very wide (can't bounce off the ceiling like my remote) but I haven't tried further than 5-10 feet.
- Note: The white spot is not corrosion damage, it is flux, it can be wiped off with a rag, does not affect the use of the module
