Review on 🌡️ Inkbird WiFi Temperature Controller ITC-306A, Wi-Fi Aquarium Thermostat for Heater Control - 120V~1200W, Two Probe System for Aquariums, Reptile Breeding, and Hatching by Tay Fair

When I first got this the iPhone notifications from the app worked, but now as many others have reported they don't. You will not receive a notification on your phone if the temperature is above or below the set alarm level. So if you're not at home to hear the device beep, you'll have to manually open the app to see if your temperature is within acceptable range. The phone notification was the main reason for me to get the Wi-Fi version, so now this device makes very little difference compared to the non-WiFi device. App pairing is also very difficult - Inkbird's instructions are wrong and conflicting about factory reset and entering Wi-Fi pairing mode. Each time I tried to set it up, it took me many rounds of trial and error before it finally worked. 4 times now and only reconnects after power cycle. The heater control continued to function normally, it just wasn't communicating with the phone app. Mine is now connected to a Wi-Fi smart plug. So if I'm not around and the phone app can't connect to Inkbird, I can turn it on remotely. Also, as others have reported, the fact that there is no way to turn off the constant heating alarm is a downside. And it looks like you probably won't get any help from InkBird support. If you don't use the Wi-Fi feature, this is a pretty decent aquarium temperature controller. I had to adjust the temperature calibration on mine with a good quality digital reference thermometer and even with the calibration adjustment it's not very accurate but it seems to stay accurate to within 1 degree Fahrenheit. Most of the time, but not always, my temperature stays the same. within 1 degree Fahrenheit. For now I'll probably continue to use it as an actual heater control - I haven't had any heater control failures yet, but I need to find something else to control the temperature and alert my phone. I could buy InkBird controllers again - I've had others and they seem to control the temperature pretty well, but I suspect they're used with no Wi-Fi and no phone app.
