I just received this fan today. I was excited because I know Lasko makes really good high speed fans. According to the site that compares this to the Lasko 4924, this one puts out slightly more CFM at high speed. I figured this one must be really strong if it's stronger than 4924. I put them both side by side and ran one by one, both aiming at my wife. I could tell the new one wasn't as strong just by the sound. She agreed. She said 4924 was blowing like a hurricane, but the new one wasn't. I'll keep it for myself anyway, as it's the latest model and looks good I'll use it somewhere. Just not in my bedroom. I have to be quiet when I sleep. One more thing, as mentioned in other reviews, the remote needs to be pointed squarely at the work station. I wanted to post this review for people like me who want the most powerful fan, up to the tower fan. Unfortunately this is not the case. The older model still rules.
