Review on EASYGUARD EC110 RFID Car Alarm Kit: Enhanced Security & Convenient Remote Start for Automatic Cars DC12V by Pete Deutsch

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Inferior to remote starters

Overview by a professional installer. Nice concept but loses 2 stars for a few issues. But it's cheap, so what do you expect. RFID keyfobs are said to be interchangeable and "programmable" at various places on the web, including their website, but programming instructions were nowhere to be found (even in the box), which is the most important thing. Terrible instructions! I'm a professional installer who has installed literally 100, maybe 1000 if remote booted. The only wire I got was what they call a "fuel pump wire" which only needs to see 12v when the car is running. The shortest boot time is still too long for the car I installed it on. The last mistake (large). The device armed itself 1 minute after the fobs were removed from the car, but when I unplugged the battery for a few minutes and plugged it back in, the device "woke up" and ran with the fobs on for the rest of the day 50 feet away. away, no bueno! I want someone to do a decent button start because some customers want that on older cars.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
