These piercing needles are incredibly sharp and excellent for piercing the skin of the earlobe. Keep smaller 18 gauge piercing jewelry making them useless for this purpose. I think I recommend ordering TWO sizes to accommodate your piercing jewelry, but some buyers say the size fits the bill so it looks hit or miss. . For the price it's not the end of the world as they really are very sharp.
