I bought this meat mallet a few months ago and have not been disappointed. Having used old hammer hammers for a lifetime, I'm almost a little frustrated that nobody has ever pushed me into one. Well balanced and with a large surface area at the beating end, it quickly handles chicken and beef that we need to flatten to cook. It's heavier than a regular hammer hammer, but I prefer it. It puts less strain on my hands than hammer hammers and it doesn't tear flesh like hammer hammers always did when I used them. This tool has taken its rightful place in my kitchen.
