I've run in Asics, Saucony and Mizuno and have never needed wide shoes. This shoe is narrower than other reviewers state. Not only is it narrow, there are supportive meshes or materials at the toe points that put too much pressure in the wrong places. After about 30 miles most of that feeling was gone and I was happy with it. I would have liked them better if I bought a wider shoe as the cushioning is quite good and they feel good stretching a few pressure points in the forefoot. Update: After about 375 miles these lightweight shoes are holding up great. They take a while to break in but I've been very happy with them for the last 300 miles or so. I don't feel like they're worn yet and the tread is excellent, even if it's mostly road miles at this point.
