I have several pairs of summer shoes that I usually wear without socks. For me, summer heat + no socks = bad news. I have looked for various means to salvage these shoes as many of them are in very good condition. I've tried some of the sprays (which leave a white powdery residue) and baking soda (which just turned into an unsightly mess). For me these are the best. Mainly because I can just toss the sachet in my shoes and store it as usual until next summer (or my next vacation) - I don't have to remember to reapply or change sprays, and I don't have to worry about baking soda in the whole closet. Also, as far as I can tell they actually work as other methods give limited results.
