You will see that I received this product from the Revain's Vine program in exchange for my honest review. I have a Yeti cooler and thought it would be interesting to own this product. I've never noticed that my Yeti has a groove down the middle. I have found that this is the groove that this accessory slides down into to create two separate sections in my cooler. It worked great. My life hasn't improved much since owning this separator; Before you spend any money, just make sure you really want to split your Yeti in half. This is the only place it will work. You can't do Yeti 1/3 and 2/3. Only 50/50. The description indicates that this divider could also be used as a type of cutting board. And yes, he definitely could. I think the knife leaves indelible marks on the septum. No problem, of course. Also, it's a bit small for this purpose, so I haven't found a use for this functionality yet. But its main purpose is perfectly served. I am satisfied and can recommend it unreservedly.
