This shower head switch was purchased to replace an expensive push button model I bought from a reputable plumbing store. It worked well, but pushing and pulling the on/off button seemed to put too much pressure on the shower head (supply line coming out of the wall). I thought it would last ten years but the design and the amount of force required to operate the shower head and wand damaged the grout behind the wall. Also, and most importantly, the fact that there was no easy way to visually tell which head would be spraying by looking at the valve knob. My wife uses a rain nozzle and I use a wand. Needless to say, the wand would blow them up when she turned on the shower and vice versa if either of them forgot to change the settings. With a large lever, it is easy to determine the setting of each device. The up pointer is mine and the down pointer is hers. pure harmony. The valve slides smoothly and precisely with a little pressure on the shower head. I slightly removed the small baffle in the valve prior to installation and the pressure was optimal. The only suggestion I can add to the instructions is to correctly install the supplied seals and use the supplied teflon tape with a large number of turns while "clocking" the valve in the desired position. In my case, when fully tightened, the angle of the valve handle was not in a straight up and down position (towards the sky) - more like a 45 degree tilt too far. Adding more turns of teflon tape fixed this. I also used the tape I had which was a bit thicker than what came with the kit. Overall very happy with this purchase as you can see from the length of this review! Great quality, excellent function at a great price. Highly recommended wife, same as me.
