I bought this as a bridesmaid dress. The bride gave us a range of purples to choose from for our dresses, from deep violet to a soft lavender.I bought this dress in "wine" thinking it would be perfect based on the product description and picture. It's definitely a dark red/burgundy color! I will have to send it back because it wont work for the wedding.The dress itself seemed great--I'm 5' 2" and usually wear a size 2. I got a small and it was a tiny bit big on me, but the tie around the waist made it okay. I have a tiny frame and the shoulders were a bit big and it was also long on me, but definitely wearable for one day at least. It definitely wasn't the highest quality (some stitching was uneven), but for the price is was great. I saw some reviews of the other colors saying that they weren't very accurate either, but none for the "wine" color, so I decided to go for it since I really liked the style.Long story short, this dress is great, but don't buy it for a color-specific occasion!
