I recently shot some old 8mm home video with a Sony CCD-TR6 camcorder. The videos have not been played for over 15 years. When I tried playing them, the video looked surprisingly good, but the audio was garbled and garbled. I've tried different cables, cleaning tapes, and cleaned ports with no success. I happened to see that this model was supposed to play old 8mm/Hi8 cassettes, so I decided to give it a try. I am very happy to report that this camcorder plays my old cassettes with great video quality and most importantly the sound is crystal clear when played back on this camcorder! I can't tell you how happy I am with this camcorder!
