They don't look great and take some getting used to. But once you decide to work with the fabric and not against it, you're done. My 12 by 6 foot rug is light green and cream in color. I have 4 gray cats. What I use is hard work. A vacuum won't do a good job unless of course you have a super duper pet hair vacuum that costs a few hundred dollars. Since I only have 1 rug and no rug I feel there is no point in buying them. I was on all fours with a manual brush, which is effective but difficult to use. I need a heavier one and it's expensive. So, here are those things. I sat down on the carpet and started scratching around me, squeezing lightly and the strands of hair got tangled. It took maybe 10 minutes and I got a big bun. Carpet looks good. 1 thing. Make sure you work with the weave and not against it as you will ruin your rug over time.
