Review on ๐Ÿ›น Carving Skateboard with Magneto Longboard Design by Jerry Bergstad

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finally found a board I like!

I've had half a dozen longboards that I rode to school and work. I used to work in a skate shop and tried a lot of longboards. Sector 9 Cosmic Boards (flexible fiberglass boards) have been my choice for about 15 years. until now. Magneto is my ride now! I bought my son a 38.5 inch Magneto cutting board. I tried it and liked it so much that I bought the 42 inch device. While I like the 38.5", I'd recommend the 42" instead because it's just as nimble, has small kicktails, and is nicer overall. I'm quite a tall guy, my son is about 90 pounds and my daughter is about 60 pounds. We can all drive 38.5" or 42". Pros: - Ideal for wood carving! - Smooth move. The flexibility of fiberglass really reduces road vibration! The low center of gravity and firm/slightly flexible surface create a safe surface that feels great at high speeds. - Can handle tight turns (if you have the balance) - Nice look and feel of a polished grip. It also doesn't scratch clothes as much when carrying the board. I wasn't sure how I would feel if I didn't have duct tape. now i really like it! - Wheels, bogies and bearings look great to me. I will not replace them as the gain, if any, will be negligible. - Strong. I can jump on the board without feeling like it's going to break. - The price is really reasonable for a premium board. Cons - I would like a longer kicktail. I use the kicktail on tight turns or when shooting in slow motion. It seems to dent easier than my son's cheaper hardwood board. However, I know that they will all be beaten with use!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I'll add later
