There is a learning curve with this product. As with all DVD players, you should adjust the settings to your liking. The price of this player and the quality I get from it is amazing. I have to agree with the reviewer who said he needs to tweak it to get the best results. my tv only shows up to 1080i but the quality is not very good. that's because it's interlaced and I'm used to scanning. so i get the best picture in 720p. so play around with the settings and you'll be happy with the price. And how it runs directly over the television. Don't expect sound from a TV station. THAT'S ANOTHER SIGNAL ALL TOGETHER! Run it through your stereo for best results. You can't beat this player for $50.
