much better than Sortimo or Bosch

These storage boxes are great for sorting and organizing small parts in the workshop or hobby and are much, much better than Sortimo or Bosch. I have a mix of versions of Stanley and Harbor Freight that sit on shelves so I can use them as drawers. I can provide a suitable box of fasteners, such as B. Mounting screws, pull out and take to work if I don't know the exact size I need. Or I can pop out the #8 3/4" Phillips slot if that's the size I need. The bright yellow color makes it easy to label individual bins if needed. Compare the Stanley 25's storage compartment to the Harbor's storage compartment Freight 20. Both fold in. The HF version has fewer bays but is slightly taller, the bays are the same length and width as the Stanley but as the bays are slightly taller they are not interchangeable with the Stanley Rf cover plastic isn't as squeaky clean as the Stanley but is more pliable Much easier to look inside Stanley Rf cover opens a little over 90 degrees and at times wants to close on impact Stanley cover opens a few more degrees and... stays open relatively well.To test the trays ability to hold small parts, I placed a handful of #4 sticks in the center compartment, closed and snapped the lid, rotated the tray a upside down and shook it vigorously for about 10 seconds. The HF version had about 20 pins that fell out of the container while the Stanley had 2 or 3. For storing thin parts like washers, small nails or pins, Stanley did a much better job of storing the parts in their bins. The HF version is suitable for screws, nuts or nails with a large head. Stanley is about 1.5-2 times more expensive. The Stanley has a yellow pen that is easy to write on with a marker to mark what's inside.

Pros
  • good value for money
Cons
  • slim
