I like smart plugs but they don't match my ceiling lights in the kitchen! I have another smart lightbulb and with this I plugged both into my kitchen skylight and then synced them - this always seems to be the hardest part with lightbulbs. Toggle the switch on and off three times to make them blink, then search for them in Smart Life, see if the Alexa app found them, then see if Alexa turns them on when I ask. Relax! Works perfectly! Ever since my first smart plug, I've always switched my phone from 5G to 2G to quickly sync a smart plug or lightbulb. Once synced, it's easy! I love that I can tone them down and change the color(s) so they aren't as garish later in the evening. The great thing is that you don't have to go to the kitchen to turn the lights on or off! If I had electrical skills my next smart item would probably be a smart switch for some lights that are too inaccessible - it would be easier to have a smart switch. I wish I had a fully smart home, but smart sockets and smart lightbulbs like these are a good start!
