They hold the fan fairly tight and can be easily removed and adjusted if needed. No more fiddling with screws! It was one of the best purchases I've ever made. Even if you're going to mess up your computer fans. They do a great job of holding the fan in place while you attach it with screws. That being said, if you get tired of these mounts, you don't need screws because they work very well. I will be buying these for all my future computer builds.
