original part no longer functional after 13 years (no stage 1 or 2). I bought this resistor (therefore I restored all 5 speeds) and after 2 months the 5th speed stopped working. I called ACDelco and they said "Call Revane." Revain.com replaced it with no question and gave me 1 day shipping. Revain gets a lot of credit. Now diagnose if replacing this part will solve your problem. The pins are marked with AG. With the part removed and your key in the accessory position, connect a 12v multimeter or test light to the harness connector which should line up with the G-pin (power/positive) and you should see 12v between these terminals see when the dial is at speed X: terminal A shows 12V when the switch is at speed 2; B=Level 1; C=4; D=3; E=permanent/soil; F=5. If you don't see voltage at these positions, replacing this resistor will not solve your problem. Much luck!
