We bought a new queen mattress that was too firm and we knew we needed a mattress pad. We originally wanted to buy memory foam which was a lot more expensive but after searching the internet we found mixed reviews and many people selling theirs because they were uncomfortable. We read in them and the memory foam is too hard and difficult to place, they keep you warm and despite being three times the price no one really seems to like them. So we found and bought this mattress topper and it's perfect! It's about three inches thick and filled with down, which is actually plush. On arrival I noticed that the box says 'Comfort in a Hotel' and that's what you get, it's amazing. It's soft without breaking the original integrity of your mattress, so it's still a firm mattress, just softer on top. It's like buying an expensive mattress topper but at a much lower price. When taken out of the box it looks a bit small (king size) but it immediately stretches and starts to 'fill' up very quickly. I sank into bed and was ready to nap within 5 minutes of putting it on. It only took 2 minutes to put it on the bed like a sheet and my regular sheet still fits great on it. Plus as a bonus, although I haven't done it yet; I read that it can be washed. Make no mistake if you never know what the kids spill in your bed and not theirs. I will definitely buy again and if I ever make the mistake of buying an uncomfortable mattress again I will be back. Thank you for saving me from a lot of headaches and more importantly back pain. giggle
