Review on πŸ”Š Kinter MA170 12V 2 Channel Mini Digital Audio Power Amplifier for Car or MP3 - No Power Supply Included by Marshall Dickinson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Powerful enough in amplifiers

First of all, what I don't like: Stupid color-changing LED is annoying when the thing is standing somewhere. The speaker terminals are tab-down, making them difficult to use when attached to something. The volume control is too easy to accidentally adjust. The front panel is slightly offset from the circuit board. There is no heatsink on the amplifier chip. So why did I give 5 stars? This thing costs the same as a burrito and has more than enough power to power my 3 inch desktop monitors. For example, the Behringer system's electronics were so hot, heavy, and insatiable, and I don't need digital inputs. So I ripped it all out and put this bad boy on top. Sounds fine. People complain that it doesn't have a power adapter, but to be honest it's one of the best features in my opinion. Do you really want to cram the cheapest possible power supply into your audio amplifier? Didn't think so. there to provide enough power smoothing for everyone except audiophiles who wouldn't buy the thing anyway. In short, this little guy delivers a lot of performance for the price. My only other complaint is that when I turn the volume knob up 1/3 more, a mysterious, uneven thumping/rumbling starts coming from the ceiling and walls of the room. my apartment and finally gets to my front door. I'm sure in time I'll understand what it is. Disclaimer: I'm not an audio engineer, just a regular guy who doesn't want the music at his desk to sound tinny.
