Review on πŸ”Œ WEN 6313 Electric Sheet Sander: Powerfully Smooth Sanding Results by Darryl Blumenthal

A great buy for the price!

After reading other reviews I wasn't sure if this was a great idea but I had no problem with it. It's easy enough to make new anthers (if you're good with a sewing machine) and if you're using regular sandpaper (not velcro) the clips actually hold up pretty well, although you'll need a bit more time to get the first edge a little lower, a clamp so that there is enough space to attach the other end of the paper. I made a hole punch from scraps of plywood, screwed in some #12 drywall screws, and trimmed the ends to match. Holes in the included 60 grit paper so place your standard paper in the clamps, place an edge of the roller against the stencil and press down and my home made hole punch will make the holes perfect so dust extraction works well too. I see no reason to even buy expensive Velcro sandpaper for this sander, so it's a good buy. Have seen many uses in the wood shop so far and am very happy with it. considering the price of a new unit, considering the number of hours it seems to last, that's quite a lot for a carpenter on a budget. (or someone like me trying to start a small drawstring bag business) All my Wen brand purchases so far have given me complete satisfaction so I would have no problem recommending them with an asterisk for being cheap tools you would expect no professional quality from them. but they do the work for which they are needed.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...
