These shoes are for my husband and he says they are comfortable and easy to put on. The insole is removable for cleaning and provides good cushioning when walking. They're a bit slippery in a house with hardwood floors, while outside they're great on concrete or patio blocks. He wears them with socks but says they feel good without socks. Since the sole is not as thick with cushioning as some other slip-on shoes, they are not as soft as hiking shoes. Shoes do not slip when walking. Overall they look good and feel good on the instep. Since this is canvas, machine washing should be easy as well as drying time when wet.
