I bought the stand to bring the small screen closer to me so it can be seen better when used on a desk as my Toshiba Satellite doesn't have two external ones monitors supported. This stand allows my office size keyboard to fit partially under my computer and allows me to view the computer screen from about 15 inches away, which is the ideal distance for an 11 inch screen. The product is well made of anodized aluminum with rubber pads for the table and for holding the computer. Assembly took less than five minutes using the supplied screws and key. The stand holds the computer firmly so that it can be easily used with the computer's built-in keyboard rather than an external keyboard. It works as advertised.
