Just received this set of 4 wooden chisels. They have nice wooden handles with flat sides to keep them from rolling off the bench and the tips fit snugly into the pads. The hoops on the ends of the handles were a bit loose but I laid them on a bench and hit them hard with a steel hammer with a set of nails, which worked great and took under 1 minute to do all 4. As other reviewers have noted, the bevels weren't sharp, the blades weren't square, and none of them were perfectly flat. Am I surprised, disappointed or angry? Eh, no. This chisel set costs less than $15 (less than $4 each) and includes guards, a nylon zippered pouch, and a set of three bonus drill bits (!) bevels (using a set of 400 grit diamond sharpening stones -1000-1800). I now have a really nice set of woodworking chisels with nice long shafts and hardwood handles. Granted, I haven't tried them on wood, but while they're not the best chisels in the world, they're a ridiculously good deal. buy you.
