Review on Fitbit Inspire HR Heart Rate and Fitness Tracker, One Size (with S and L Bands), 1 Count by Cristina Villanueva

2 Days In - I am very satisfied so far!

I purchased this item from Target. I've had several fitness trackers in the past, but none from the Fitbit brand. My Garmin devices (Vivofit 2, Vivosmart HR, Vivofit 3) have served me well in terms of functionality, but they never caught my attention. In other words, while the user interface was functional and useful, it wasn't that inspiring (sorry for the ridiculous pun). It wasn't very funny. I know this isn't important to everyone, but the Fitbit app and interface is much more attractive and easier to use. Garmin devices I kind of just wear and don't really think about it, but this device and accompanying app keeps me interested and motivated day and night. It's also an all-in-one solution for me as opposed to using multiple apps to sync all my information together to create a complete picture that I can use to motivate myself to keep getting better. We all know that the accuracy of all fitness trackers is a much debated topic and to be honest I finally managed to accept it just considering that the information I'm getting is an approximation. I found the accuracy to be quite acceptable for my needs - it's useful information to work with, regardless of the device's hyper-specific accuracy levels. What counts are trends. The consistency of a device's information from day to day is ultimately more important than the fact that it is not a medical device, which sums up every piece of information. And that consistency is certainly there. As far as I know, there is no practical, portable, portable device that can boast of perfect accuracy. The mechanisms of the human body are too complex to be accurately measured. These trackers are motivational and informational tools. And I think for most users this device is perfect for that. It's a joy to use, looks sleek and fairly trendy (or at least unfussy), and is comfortable to wear. It seems fairly accurate (at least as, if not more, accurate than devices I've used in the past - positioning the device away from your wrist and wearing it snugly helps here). The app is a great companion. No tracker is perfect. It's unfair to expect that, at least for now. This device is an amazing price for what you get, looks good, feels good and does the job well. I know it's only been two days, but it's already lifted me up and moved me more than I would otherwise. At a glance I can see my steps, heart rate, calories burned, notifications from my phone, water consumption, etc. AKA everything it's advertised for. I have high hopes for the future with him. I hope it stays strong over time. The fact that it's waterproof was an advantage for me; I just don't want to worry about splashes or downpours completely destroying the device. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and functional tracker that doesn't quite break the bank. He does what he claims to do and does it well. Honestly I like it. Some people might find that this doesn't live up to their expectations, but I'd say those people just need to look at other devices with features that just better match what they want out of the device. This is not a state-of-the-art device. But that's not what it claims to be. And for the average person like me, it's perfectly adequate for fitness tracking purposes and has met and exceeded my expectations so far. It provides motivation and inspiration, and the right information to work with to make progress towards better fitness and health.
