This laptop stand was so easy to put together my teenage son was able to do it himself. The base is nice and wide and the pole is very strong and heavy metal. My son's gaming laptop is quite heavy and as you can see from the photos the laptop stayed in place no matter how the stand was rotated, never fell off the stand and didn't feel unsafe. I was very impressed with how durable it was and how much weight it could carry as it was very thin and quite compact. The swivel moved easily in any direction and had no problem turning or adjusting at all. You can also change the height by rotating the pole and then locking it for a higher view. This would be ideal for a second monitor or for those who just want to get their laptop out of the way using the keyboard underneath and keep their workspace clean.
