This helmet is too big! When purchasing this item, we knew our son's exact head circumference (19.5 inches) and the product description matched that size. When we received the item it was too big for his head. The helmet didn't come with extra padding, so we couldn't adjust the size. Also, there were no instructions for proper placement/use, which was very disappointing. I think it's better to have it bigger than smaller so my son can just grow into it (assuming his head doesn't get too big next year!) but I wish I hadn't bought this item. Save money and look at another product.
