This is a nice little car, it drives and turns quite fast. My 5 year old had no driving problems. The vehicle comes with 2 rechargeable Li-ion batteries. However, only one is needed to run. So you can charge them continuously for unlimited fun. The battery doesn't drain too quickly in our opinion, which is surprising considering that only one battery is used for operation. The remote control requires two AA batteries. Luckily the seller also packed 2 batteries. And yes, there is a small screwdriver to help you remove the battery compartment. This is very generous considering that regular store cars don't have batteries. We could open the package and enjoy ourselves right away. I highly recommend this well thought out and packaged product.
