I'm middle aged and will wear it but it seems more for the younger generation. Disadvantages of the heart: none yet. Pros: absolutely beautiful! I've had so many compliments. The way the round pendants move and catch the light gives this necklace a special beauty. Comes in a gift box, inexpensive, adjustable and great to wear alone or layered. Round Cons: It doesn't really lay flat, it sort of flips over so the pieces go their separate ways. But I think that's just the nature of this type of necklace.
