Review on Shure Cancelling Headphones Studio Quality Technology Cell Phones & Accessories by Nicholas Serafini

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Depends on what you want.

These are by far the best wireless and wireless noise canceling headphones out there. Meager. Neutral signature without coloring. Very detailed and transparent, especially at mid and high frequencies (not bright at all). The bass is precise and fast, but will not satisfy the bass. The sound is structured with the perfect amount of body. The app just doesn't work well. I suspect Shure will fix that. Sounds good via Bluetooth (APTX-HD) and wired. I haven't tried the USB DAC function yet. Shure has concentrated the technology where it matters most to them to get the best sound quality, so they have integrated all the important Bluetooth codecs, enabled the wired DAC function and focused on the drivers. I've read several reviews that suggest the noise cancellation is better. than the Bose 700. That's just not true. A few questions. Noise-cancellation isn't as effective as Bose (for all exterior noise categories). However, it's good enough that that's not the main issue. What I don't like the most is that the noise cancellation colors the sound signature and makes it warmer. I like the Bose 700 for what it is. These are great noise-cancelling headphones for travel (particularly air travel where noise-cancelling is paramount), but the sound is very thin and sculpted compared to the Shure. The Shure sound is significantly better and the noise canceling is sufficient for office use at home. So basically if you care about sound quality and want neutral, accurate sounding headphones that also have Bluetooth and a USB DAC. This will work for you. Think of noise cancellation as an added bonus.
