The container is much smaller than I expected but they are quite deep. I took a measuring cup and the container fit 3 full glasses. That's more than enough for a good lunch, which is what I wanted. I like the black container because clear or light colors are easily discolored by tomato sauce. That's about half of my meal. The lid is nice and practical, but I'm not sure I would trust soup with it. I know they are "disposable" but I hope each container has many uses. When we're throwing parties, I don't mind sharing leftovers with guests either, but they often end up in my prettier containers, so they're an inexpensive alternative. To update. The compact size is perfect for regular meal portions. They keep well in the fridge and freezer. I can cook many dishes in advance, warm them up in the microwave. They were very durable.
