Review on TEK Series GPS Tracking Systems with E-Collar Option by SportDOG Brand - 10 Mile Range - Waterproof & Rechargeable Dog Location Device with Handheld Control by Tia Campbell

Not exactly. A lot of mistakes.

I spent over $600 on this so I expected it to work. When my dog is sitting next to me with a clear view of the sky, the remote shows my dog running up to 250 feet in all directions. I've set up a geofence - also with a clear view of the sky, but the corner markers aren't accurate. Lots of "Out of Geofence" errors when my dog and I are in the middle of a large geofence. The collar must be paired with the remote control after each charge. Batteries last less than a day. Often the GPS shows no contact between the collar and the remote control. I contacted SportDog support - they were very helpful and sent a new GPS component. But mistakes remain with the exchange. Sound, vibration, correction function work perfectly. The GPS function does not work. I am a radio amateur and military radio operator. I understand functions. It is with great disappointment that I find this device to be unreliable. I am returning this item and will try the e-collar with the expectation of better results. Update: 11/21/2018 Sport Dog replaced the TEK 2.0 system 5 times at their own expense. It works for several weeks, after which the collar refuses to connect to the wearable remote control. The system is good when it works, but it must always work. Five times the support team has contacted their customer service representatives (Matt or Kristin) and they have been told they will call me back but they don't. When I call back they tell me Matt or Christina are not available. So I spent $600 on something that didn't work and couldn't provide satisfactory customer service. Everyone I've spoken to at SportDog Customer Service goes out of their way to help me. And they tell me that the system should work. I'm in a suburb with excellent GPS coverage so that's not a problem. Now, SportDog is telling me that the TEK2.0 replacement will not be available until mid-January 2019. But they will provide remote trainer without GPS function until TEK2.0 is available again. I'm not a happy tourist.
