The perfect product for any user!

Great camera - very pleased.
For anyone looking for their first DSLR, I highly recommend it. Easy to operate, functional, inexpensive, takes great pictures - in a word, you will not be disappointed.
I chose my first DSLR between D3100, D5000, Pentax K-R, Canon 500D. I read a lot of reviews, reviews . As a result, I decided to touch it once than read it 1000 times. I reviewed and turned all the cameras in my hands, tormented the sellers. :))) But still I came to the conclusion that nothing is better than the D3100 - easy to operate (this is important), functional, inexpensive, fits comfortably in your hand, and indeed pleasing to the eye and soul :)
In a word, I liked it more (although this is very subjective).

Pros

1. Ease of use - you can figure out the camera in a matter of minutes, everything is very simple without any problems, nothing superfluous and not confusing, very nice. 2. Price. For such money - such opportunities and assembly is good. I chose between the D5000 and D3100, the D3100 won in my eyes. With the same parameters, it will be faster, and the model is newer. 3. Great shots even with a kit lens. 4. For those who choose their first DSLR (like me), the best model (easy to operate, functional, inexpensive, takes great pictures - in a word, pleases.) 5. Size - small size and lightweight, fits comfortably in the hand. 6. The battery charges quickly in about 1.5 hours.

Cons

Although the battery charges quickly, there is enough charge for a walk, but for a long excursion you need to take a spare battery, although, as stated, the camera takes 550 photos, even more, but I would like it to be more capacious (maybe a nitpick).
