As the name suggests the material is perfect for collecting dirt/dust/lint in its tiny grooves. It would be much better if there was no groove or at least protruded rather than being recessed. Things get stuck right away. My only other issue is that it blocks the remote start light that tells you if the car remote start is successful. Added a hole for the Ford logo but removed the feature light? It doesn't make much sense to me. Those two issues aside, this is a quality product that does what it's made to do. It will definitely protect your key even if it doesn't look clean.
