I've been using this black case for my 15 inch Space Color MacBook Pro for almost 3 months now. I'm happy to report that this is a solid choice for the protection my laptop needs. It's made from a softer plastic with an embossed texture on the outside that gives it the feel and look of leather. The die cut goes well with the Apple logo on the laptop and looks great with matte black over the glitter black Apple logo. This slightly increases the thickness of the laptop. It doesn't cover any of the forks, as some of the other reviewers have pointed out. It replaces another translucent hard plastic case also purchased from Revain which cracked in two corners after 6 months.
