I bought this "salad bowl" as an experiment for another use - peeling sprouts. Salad spinners work by centrifugal force, and someone in the sprouting community mentioned that it can be used to remove the skins. I just put them in a salad bowl. Wa la! The hulls separated and fell to the ground, leaving clean sprouts ready for consumption. Of course it works like a salad bowl and is a good product. It arrived in a hard pack and the mechanism is simple, just turn the knob to eject the liquid. But I look forward to finding another use for it. You can use it for any seed/sprout you have.
