Kitty agrees! on beds and furniture

I had a problem with my cat scratching furniture because her old scratching post was at an angle that didn't stretch his back enough, ie i have this vertical post. He loves it so much and has since stopped scratching my wooden furniture (and thank god since I live in a dorm!). I put the black cloth on top and the string part on the bottom because he was never that much of a fan of those claws. He uses it so much that the fabric is now covered in lint, but it clings to the lint and doesn't make a mess like his box. He doesn't play with balls or balls in the base, but he never liked those toys. The marble walkway collects a lot of dust and dirt and is difficult to clean, but that's not a big deal as he doesn't use it anyway. It was all easy to put together, I was able to do it in 5 minutes max, and it was just as easy to take the piece with me for travel. I think my only real complaint is the grip on the underside. It stays balanced but slides everywhere. I have to tuck a corner under the drawer or push it against the wall or it ends up being dragged all over my room. For reference, he is a very large cat and weighs 17 pounds. However, the pillar is big enough for him to stretch out his back! I would have preferred better grips, maybe rubber grips that cover more area than small circles, but that's not such a big deal compared to how much he loves it!

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
