Our puppy is 10 months old and will eat anything off the floor be it poop, plastic, rubbish etc to the point we had to take her to the vet . The vet suggested wearing a hat to check the muzzle. Starla is a 30 pound Pit, Lab breed, Pompom, Bulldog and Lhasa Apso mix. She has a small head and muzzle so we ordered size 1. She fits well! We managed to tighten it around the head a bit and it fits just right. I like the ring under her jaw, so it's not always tight - she can choke (we live in Florida, it's always hot there). I also like the safety clip. I gave up another brand just to have them. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it seems like there should be a black nose pad for comfort, but there isn't. We'd love to, because this collar leaves a dent in our pup's snout. In general it serves its purpose. This gives us control over her snout so she can't eat anything off the ground.
