Attention Windows 10 users! Maybe you have a 50/50 chance it will work. My first attempt was a 2019 XPS 13 and it ONLY has USB-C ports, you must use a hub to connect to the USB 2.0 port. If you read the webpage it says DO NOT use the hub! After several hours of trying, I gave up. My second attempt was a 2015 ALienware with two USB 2.0, one 3.0 and one Type-C. I finally managed to find the device on a USB 2.0 port but for some reason it can't find it on 3.0. No backwards compatibility? I then connected the cables to my JVC GR-SXM330 camcorder, it only uses YELLOW and WHITE RCA cables, no red, and also has an S-Video connector. My first copy of old home videos was a 19 year old tape my father made of my niece who came home from the hospital after she was born. The scene starts in the driveway, but the grass is yellow on the computer and green in the viewfinder. Also, everything was blurry and too bright in the settings or something, nothing looked right. I recorded a full hour of video and thought "garbage in, garbage out" of a bad tape. But then I put on another film and it was a bit newer, but the picture was terrible again. I played saved movies with VLC Movie Player and they were awful! I used an S-Video cable (better picture right?) and a white cable. I tried a few settings but I think I was overloading the USB connection because it left the screen blank so I put them back. Then, just to test the theory, I unplugged the S-Video and used the YELLOW cable and the picture was perfect! Before you buy this, make sure you have a free spare USB 2.0 on your Windows 10 computer, otherwise I don't think it will work. Also, make sure the image looks right when you start recording. You can always stop it after a few minutes and then go to your folder and play the saved version and check the quality. If your quality is poor, try a different cable. Don't forget to name your video in the initial interface, otherwise you will get a random filename. There's nothing wrong with that, but you'll have to watch the video to see what it is and rename it in the folder. The website is useless for directions so I googled it and found some tips and tricks from other users. I was about to get this thing back but at the very last second my computer found a new USB device and installed the drivers to make it just work. Much luck!
