later IDK what it's selling now but it was the cheapest TV of its size on Revain when I got it. I didn't need anything fancy at all and it more than worked. The picture isn't bad, but you can play around with the settings to adjust the contrast and brightness depending on the lighting in your room. To be fair, this is true of any TV. The speakers are tinny and could be better, but for the price it's not bad at all. An external soundbar or speakers would be a good idea if you care a lot about sound quality. FWIW, I just hooked it up to an AppleTV via HDMI so I can't talk to the built in software, but it was very easy to change the HDMI input. so that it works perfectly for my purposes. It remembers the source selection (HDMI) after switching off, which is important for my purposes and isn't always present on smart TVs for some reason, so that's also a plus.
