I received Navy instead of black so I won't be able to wear with what I bought them for but I don't feel like messing around with the return. These will work well as an inner-layer under clothing however and since the weather is in negative temps with negative double digit windchill temps they were destined to be used as a layer anyway. They have a good amount of stretch so even though they look like mini-people pants they will fit real people. I do think the more you need them to stretch the shorter you need to be as so will not work for 5'9" and 190. They have a nice minky lining that feels nice on your skin. Would be good for warmer temps like 20 degrees
