Pants are super soft. The sizing chart wasn't very helpful so I bought the recommended size 8-10 off ebay. My son is 7.5 years old, quite skinny. He is 4'1" tall and weighs just under 50 pounds. These pajama bottoms are comically large and long on him, he put them on after they were washed and dried and we both laughed at how big they were. We have them rolled up.and tie the string.It will grow in it.But if you have a skinny kid,remember they are tall.The pockets are good and the pants are very comfortable.
