Not for me in my review

Well I certainly got a workout trying to set this thing up, but that was about it.Even with instructions it took me about 20 minutes just to figure out how to adjust and install this item. It felt clunky, unintuitive and parts kept flying off. But even if I accept all the blame for the frustrating install experience I still can't really recommend this. After getting the bar secured I tested it out and it just slipped down the door frame. I thought "ok, I didn't make it tight enough." I readjusted and secured the bar as tightly as possible within the frame, but it still slipped in place.Wondering if it could be the paint on my walls or maybe bad angles on the door frame I tried two other doorways. Same thing happened. All I really accomplished was scraping some paint off my walls.I live in an old apartment building and the frames could certainly be a bit warped but I could not find a secure way to install this in my home.Maybe it'll work for you so I won't trash it, but from my experience I certainly can't recommended it.

Pros
  • It allows you to perform a range of exercises such as chin-ups, pull-ups, and leg raises
Cons
  • It may be difficult to maintain proper form while using the bar
