Well designed. Each end has a power connector. You connect power to one of the units (your choice) and the other gets power. These devices also pass the IR remote end-to-end (which end is IR in and which end is IR out is up to you), which is handy for running 70-foot cables to the projector. Now we just point the projector remote at the sensor in the sound booth and there is no need to point the remote and hit the projector hanging from the ceiling 40 feet away from us. The documentation was a bit sketchy: the IR emitter was shaped like a teardrop, while the receiver was a rectangular piece of plastic. Worked great!
